The Strangefells is no longer a dirty little secret hiding in the nightmares and fairytales of humankind.
To say tensions have been rising is an understatement.
Sure, an entire city was almost leveled when a sociopath with a supervillain complex released the Ancients. And sure, it wasn’t a great first introduction. But now the world is on the brink of war as humans try to come to terms with their friends and neighbors being Stranger than they thought.
Behind it all, something else is stirring, creatures that are twisting minds and possessing unsuspecting people at will, all while entire towns are disappearing overnight. They hide in plain sight, an unknown entity with many faces. And this new threat has taken an interest in me personally, coming after the people I love.
The Ancients weren’t the only thing that woke up and got a taste of freedom when the Briste made their bid for ultimate power. They say I have something they want. That when I survived Griselda and her sorcerers, I didn’t come back unchanged.
And they’re right.
