Elizabeth Quick

Dramatized post-apocalyptic one-character adventure
This show was at one time binge-ready, but now it's... not?

It may have switched to an "always on" status, or the creator may have stopped using Season Number and Episode Number values. Or they're inconsistent with their tagging, have removed episodes, or made other changes—intentional or not—leading to a less-than-perfect listener experience. And, if we're honest. It could be us. We might have listed the show too early, and episodes of the first season are still releasing.

Regardless, it's currently in a state that disqualifies it from being listed in our directory, as it's no longer binge-ready.

Show synopsis

This show uses machine-generated voices

Elizabeth Quick, living a life of convention and anxiety and the occasional kickboxing class, never believed she was powerful. Then an extinction event left behind a wild new planet, equal parts dangerous and astonishing. Now Elizabeth is in that wilderness alone, searching for her teenage daughter and realizing that, just like the plants and animals she sees evolving in the blink of an eye, she must become someone she never thought possible.

Written, performed, and engineered by Daryl Lisa Fazio. Music from Artlist. Selected sound effects from Artlist and Freesoundslibrary.com.

Evo Terra: "5 years ago, I’d have said, ā€œthis ain’t your typical post-apocalyptic story,ā€ but then I remembered that tales like Sweet Tooth, The Quiet Place, The Last of Us, and just about every other contemporary post-apocalyptic tale is very much like this, where it’s less about ā€œwhat happenedā€ and more about our ā€œhow it feels to live through.ā€ It’s less than an hour. Oh, and there’s a pegasus, maybe? Get it."
