Dispatches from the Multiverse

Dramatized improv scifi comedy
This show was at one time binge-ready, but now it's... not?

It may have switched to an "always on" status, or the creator may have stopped using Season Number and Episode Number values. Or they're inconsistent with their tagging, have removed episodes, or made other changes—intentional or not—leading to a less-than-perfect listener experience. And, if we're honest. It could be us. We might have listed the show too early, and episodes of the first season are still releasing.

Regardless, it's currently in a state that disqualifies it from being listed in our directory, as it's no longer binge-ready.

Dramatized improv scifi comedy
Yikes! Something odd is happening with this show making the episodes inaccessible or the entire show no longer binge-ready.
Here's the last note we made on Oct 24, 2025, which may nor may not be helpful: Complete Series (the entire story, possibly spread over multiple seasons, is finished) •

Show synopsis

This show uses machine-generated voices

Hi, I’m Max. I’m an engineer and inventor. A couple years ago I sold my self-driving virtual reality software company to Amazon for a few hundred million dollars. After my contract at Amazon was up, I started working on my next major market disruption: a quantum bagel toaster.

I thought I finally had a working prototype that would project an instant bagel-toasting vortex onto any surface, but when I put the bagel on it, the bagel fell through and disappeared. After some experimentation I came to a stunning realization…

I know this sounds crazy, but it seems that I have accidentally invented a device that opens a portal to another dimension.

Each week I visit a new alternate universe and no matter how strange it is, somehow I keep running into parallel dimension versions of my roommate in every one of them. I’m documenting my incredible travels and discoveries on this podcast.

Submitter notes

Inspired by "Mission to Zyxx" and "Hello from the Magic Tavern," I often describe our show as a goofy parody of the '90s TV show "Sliders."

"This improvised show just might change your mind about improvised shows. It's very well—if not rather simply—produced, ridiculous, and seriously funny. Give it an episode to see if it's your cup of tea. Because there are 300 of them!"Evo Terra
