If you are fascinated by mysteries, nature, art, books, and writing, I hope you’ll feel right at home. I write books for readers of all ages, mostly mysteries. My books for young adults and adults take place in all different countries – Japan, Ecuador, Turkey, Egypt – and feature globetrotting sleuths. My middle grade eco-mysteries, Trouble at Turtle Pond, and its sequel, The Owl Prowl Mystery, take place closer to home, in a fictional New England town called Marsh Hollow. They feature a team of young wildlife rangers who solve environmental crimes in their neighborhood. My new full-cast audio drama for adults, Rambling Roads Mysteries, also features eco-sleuths, this time embedded within a quirky walking tours company. I believe there is so much to discover right in our own yards and neighborhoods. My community science work with local endangered turtles – some no bigger than a quarter! – inspired an entire book, an owl visiting a tree outside my kitchen window inspired the next book in the series, and trees I’ve come to know in my town inspired the walking tour mysteries of Rambling Roads. You really don’t have to go far to find a story!
